Cybersecurity Sr. Specialist

📍 Location: Abbott Park, IL (Onsite)

📅 Duration: 6-Month Contract (with extension)

We’re seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join a dynamic product cybersecurity team. In this role, you’ll advise product development teams on embedding security throughout the lifecycle of mobile-enabled and cloud-based products. You’ll provide technical guidance, conduct threat modeling, and ensure alignment with cybersecurity best practices and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform threat modeling and assess cybersecurity risks for mobile and cloud-based solutions.
• Guide teams on remediation of vulnerabilities and communicate significant risks to leadership.
• Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, engineers, and managers.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity advisory or product engineering with a security focus.
• Expertise in cloud-native, mobile, or cloud computing security design.
• Experience with cyber threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA).
• Strong grasp of information security principles and defense-in-depth.
• Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Familiarity with medical device cybersecurity frameworks is a plus.
