Major Function

• Implement and follow all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Integrated Pest management, and Chemical control program.
• Employee Training

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules to ensure comprehensive cleaning of machines, equipment, and plant area; assigns personnel to tasks and inspects work in progress and on completion. Confers with supervisor and maintenance personnel to determine cleaning and maintenance care requirements of machinery and equipment.
• Supervises and participates in fogging and spraying the plant with insecticides, exercises care to prevent inadvertent misuse of chemicals.
• Inspect plant frequently for traces of vermin and to ensure standards of cleanliness; determines corrective action necessary to eliminate deficiencies.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Working Relationships

• Supervisors, janitor and sanitation personnel.
• Working relationships with other management personnel, reports directly to the President.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of the permitted uses of various insecticides is essential to avoid contamination of products.
• Working knowledge of bakery plant sanitation principles, procedures, equipment and supplies
• Working knowledge of the details of the physical layout of plant facilities, equipment and storage areas.
• Working knowledge of the habits of vermin relating to various methods of extermination.
• Knowledge of company policies and practices.
• Ability to supervise and train personnel.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and standard procedures.
• Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate janitorial work.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• Experience in sanitation work.
• Pest control training.
• Graduation from high school.
