About RoomSales: RoomSales is a dynamic marketplace specializing in hotel bookings tailored for businesses seeking to reserve blocks of rooms. Currently, we have partnerships with four premier hotels located in Woodbury, Plymouth, Eagan, and Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Hospitality Sales to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. The primary responsibility of this role is to expand our network by signing new hotels in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area onto our platform. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding sales representatives to market and sell hotel room blocks to businesses on behalf of our partnered hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hotel Acquisition:
  • Identify and target prospective hotel partners within the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and sign new hotels onto the RoomSales platform.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, general managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Sales Team Development:
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives focused on selling hotel room blocks to businesses.
  • Develop sales training programs and materials to ensure the team is well-equipped to achieve sales targets.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and support to the sales team.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor sales metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in hospitality sales, with a proven track record of success in hotel partnerships and team management.
  • Strong network within the Minneapolis–Saint Paul hotel industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.

Compensation: This is a 1099 contract position with competitive uncapped commission-based compensation, offering significant earning potential based on performance.
