Job Description

We are looking for a talented UX Writer to join our team, working w/ an exciting technology client headquartered in Cupertino, CA. Deliverables include short and long copy for the web site and iOS app.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying content gaps and researching solutions

  • Solving for geo-specific exceptions

  • Analyzing and implementing copy and engineering feedback

  • Collaborating with designers to ensure copy and visuals work seamlessly together

  • Participating in testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 4+ years experience as part of a creative team in an agency or in-house design group.

  • Strong portfolio of marketing, e-commerce, and/or product-related writing for major brands.

  • Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines, responding to shifting priorities, schedules, and deliverables.

  • Willingness to write/revise copy on the spot with fellow team members and client during working sessions.

  • Service-oriented attitude — flexible, personable, approachable, patient.

  • Passionate about pursuing excellence and advocating for the best possible customer (end-user) experience.

  • Understanding of design flows and storyboards for user experience journeys and transactions including familiarity with digital production and content management.

  • Understanding of accessible copywriting (works with VoiceOver technology, etc.) and best practices that optimize the interface/experience for customers with sight, hearing, or mobility impairments.

  • Comfortable writing content that will be translated into multiple languages and writing for multiple geographies.

  • Requires awareness of how connotations and nuances shift across regions.

  • Experience related to consumer electronics or global e-commerce is a plus.
