Job Description

Pride Health is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist - OB to support our client’s medical facility in Houston, TX . This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist - OB

Location: Houston, TX 77030

Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Rotating Weekends: Saturday & Sunday 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM (flexible based on patient volume)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks with possible ext.

Duties:

  • Confirm the appropriateness of ordered exams from the diagnosis and contact medical staff for additional patient information when necessary.
  • Communicate with the Radiologist to obtain the appropriate exam protocol and make informed decisions regarding imaging protocols.
  • Select the appropriate equipment and position patients to ensure optimal diagnostic images.
  • Transmit cases to the Archive System as needed.
  • Assist the Radiologist with requested procedures.
  • Perform quality control checks for all exams following established protocols.
  • Document patient history, sedation use, and film details in the radiology information system.
  • Maintain an accurate logbook of patients scanned daily.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of ultrasound physics and procedures.
  • Proficiency in the operation of ultrasound equipment, automatic processors, film copying/digitizing equipment, R.I.S., PACS, and basic life support.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate basic office equipment.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in gynecology 1st trimester scanning and Follicular scanning is preferred.
  • ARDMS registration and EPIC experience are preferred.

Required Education:

  • Successful completion of a formal 2-year training program in Ultrasound accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification is required.
