About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of a growing portfolio of companies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with a mix of remote flexibility and occasional in-person team collaboration. As a Staff Accountant, you will play an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update accurate financial records across multiple companies within our portfolio.
- Perform essential tasks such as bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end closing procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial queries and discrepancies.
- Contribute to identifying areas for process improvements and support the optimization of financial operations.
- Assist with various ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

Skills & Experience:

- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or back-office environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities remotely with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with internal teams.
