We offer hands-on help to address chronic homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, disability, and systematic poverty by offering innovative solutions and proactive services to the most vulnerable in Schenectady County. The Shelter Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the daily operations of the shelter, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents. This position involves overseeing staff, coordinating services, and implementing programs that address the diverse needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or crisis. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing compassionate care.The Shelter Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all intake and assessments are entered in HMIS and the daily intake and discharge process is completed each day. Daily communication to Schenectady County DSS is essential.
