My client is a reputable bank, and we are recruiting for a Regulatory Counsel to be based in the Singapore office. You will be given the opportunity to support the business on a wide variety of matters across business lines, and work closely with stakeholders and regulators. Responsibilities for this position:
- Manage a wide variety of legal matters for the across business lines (retail/corporate banking) and advising on regulatory matters
- Work closely with the General Counsel on strategic matters as well as day to day legal matters such as commercial matters, advising on new product launches, cross-border matters, escalations
- Be a point of contact for the firm's legal needs, especially on matters that concern regulations
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure that firm's policies are in line with legal and MAS regulations
Requirements for this position:
- Qualified Lawyer in a Commonwealth Jurisdiction (preferred)
- Minimally 5 years of Post- Qualification Experience
- Familiar with legal matters related to the banking space
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders at a high level
- Has high initiative, with a strong ability to work in a flat structure
- Able to prioritize and respond well to changing circumstances and tight timelines
