Job Summary:

Our busy optometry practice is seeking candidates for a Practice Manager to help us give patients a 5-star experience every time they’re here.

What you’ll be doing as a V EYE P team member:

As a member of our work family, you’ll be handling a lot of the important work that goes on to set the doctor and the patient up for success. The doctors need help managing the practices. The right candidate has a strong work ethic and ability to lead a team of talented opticians and assistants, possesses the ability to create a strong positive culture in the offices, excels in conflict management/resolution, and has excellent verbal communication/phone etiquette.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversees clinical care providing clinical support and check-in and check-out management, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical records documentation.
• Doctor/Patient schedule management and optimization
• Provides direct supervision to support staff, ensuring optimal patient flow and high clinic quality.
• Optical orders, repairs, adjustments, dispenses. Finishing lab support.
• Provides training to all clinical staff.
• Serves as the key conflict resolution resource for staff on patient issues.
• Studies patient needs/trends and recommends solutions and improvements to patient care.
• Collaborates with Optometrist and co-workers on development and implementation of clinic goals, policies, procedures, budget plans, and work standards.
• Monitors practice key performance indicators related to revenue cycle and patient satisfaction.
• Facilitates medical practice meetings related to clinic effectiveness. Preparation may be necessary outside of clinic hours. Meetings may be held outside of clinic hours.
• Oversees and maintains clinic appearance including décor, general maintenance, cleanliness.
• Provides third party management and patient account verification (Compulink + Solution Reach, Weave, Promptly, etc.)
• Works directly with the insurance coordinator to ensure accuracy and efficiency of vision and medical insurance verification, claim submittals, and timely payment of claims. Delegates to support staff when appropriate. Insurance verification and claim submittal support as needed
• .Managing patient requests (Rx’s, receipts, etc.)
• Collaborative marketing efforts and social media management. Acts as liaison to
• 3rd party marketing group
• .Oversees co-management of patient car
• eInitiates, promotes and implements sub-clinical effort
• sDirect contact for recruiting new staf
• fAny task associated with ensuring that the practice runs efficiently.
