Job Description

THIS POSITION IS FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Compensation package for certified teachers start at $65,000

Compensation package for non-certified teachers start at $62,000

**All compensation includes a $5,000 Liberty County incentive and a $1,000 High School stipend**

Primary Purpose:

This position is responsible for supporting the district’s DLI program initiatives. This position includes coaching, modeling, co-teaching, and collaboratively planning with teachers and instructional coaches. The DLI IC also collaborates with HQ, area and campus leadership and provides feedback to teachers. In addition, they provide conducts professional development, guidance and support in the areas of sheltered instruction practices, Dual Language Immersion programming, and core content academic support.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s degree from accredited university preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in content endorsement

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
  • Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess demonstrated evidence of leadership responsibilities beyond those required in the classroom.
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of DLI programs, curriculum, instructional best practices, and adult learning theories.
  • Knowledge of second language acquisition theories and reading instruction preferred.
  • Must possess effective instructional delivery techniques and the ability to guide and develop teachers.
  • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administrators, community members, students and others.
  • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, students, teachers, administrators, and community-based organizations.

Experience:

  • Three years of bilingual education (Dual Language) teaching experience
  • Experience in coaching teachers on the use of best practices for both content and Dual Language/LOTE Spanish instructional settings.
  • Experience as a Spanish content teacher preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both academic and interpersonal) in Spanish and English.
