FirstFour Group , the Gulf Coast's premier source for specialized professional recruitment, is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager on behalf of our client, an international engineering and design consultancy that provides solutions for the aviation industry.

This is a long-term contract (12 months or more) for candidates locating within commuting distance to Mobile, AL. Benefits are available for the contractor after 30 days of employment.

We are unable to offer relocation or visa assistance for this role. No C2C.

The role is 50% onsite in a manufacturing environment and 50% remote from your home office.

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and coordinate various mechanical projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles, with the ability to effectively manage customer relationship, reach project challenges (OTD, OQD, OCD). This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Duties

• Manage the customer requests providing technical and commercial offers.
• Lead the planning and execution of mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Coordinate and monitoring progress and address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of solutions.
• Facilitate communication between various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain quality control.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports using tools like Bluebeam for effective collaboration.

Experience

• Proven experience in mechanical project management within aeronautical / Aerospace sectors.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools is required.
• Experience in reading blueprints and schematics is crucial for successful project execution.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective coordination among diverse teams.
• A background in jigs / Tooling for assembly and/or production.
