Job Description

Part-time Contract Materials Assistant

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday, 24 hours a week

Pay: $30/hr

Onsite in Seattle: in office 8:30-5pm PST

I am working with a well known outdoor apparel company and we are looking to hire a part time Contract Materials Assistant for their Fabric, Print, and Pattern Development team.

Job duties:

  • Responsible for print and pattern development, coordinating with Design and overseas suppliers.
  • Track/Check-in all artwork submits
  • Daily Communication with overseas vendors on hand-loom and print strike off comments from the team.
  • Daily Communication/Status Updates with internal cross functional team members.
  • Update fabric tracking tool/system with status
  • Work within product development calendar adhering to all material and artwork deadlines.
  • Support Senior Material Manager with inputting and data integrity for fabric detail sheets, lab tests and required certificates.
  • Assist with sorting and organizing fabric sourcing library each season and prep for new season
  • Support team with seasonal trend presentations.
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years experience in Textile/Fashion Industry
  • Strong presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail and data integrity
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize projects and deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with MS Office, including Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable and effective in dealing with conflict
  • Travel may be required, based on business needs.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.
