Job Description

A Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily production activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and maintaining product quality. The Operations Manager has responsibility for the sites production operations working closely with Engineering, Quality, Commercial Teams, and customers to deliver high quality parts to our customers. This role oversees department managers and are a crucial part in optimizing manufacturing processes, managing production schedules, and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure production and processes run efficiently.

- Team Leadership: Managing and leading the operations team to ensure they are motivated, productive, and aligned with company goals.

- Strategic Planning: Collaborating with the General Manager and other senior leaders to develop and implement operational strategies.

- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocating resources to maximize productivity while controlling costs.

- Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality control processes to meet established quality standards.

- Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement, and then leading initiatives to achieve these objectives.

- Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for operations, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.

- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating operational risks, whether related to safety, compliance, or other factors that could affect business continuity.

- Supplier and Vendor Management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.

- Performance Metrics: Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and efficiency of operations and to identify improvements.

- Customer Satisfaction: Focusing on exceeding customer expectations by delivering products or services on time, at the expected quality, and within budget.

- Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

- Communication: Providing regular updates to the General Manager on the status of operations and challenges.

- Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans to minimize disruptions.

Experience:

- A minimum of 7 years of work experience in operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.

– A minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership and team management.

- Specific industry experience can be valuable, especially for highly specialized sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, or logistics.

Education:

- A bachelor's degree in business, management, operations management, engineering, or a related field is often required.

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation packing, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility, will be outlined at the time of the job offer.

Compensation range: $120,000-$145,000
