Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Fruitville, FL. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. A commitment to safety, reliability, and efficient work practices is key to succeeding in this role.

$25 - $35 hourly

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment through regular maintenance and repair procedures
• Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure the smooth operation of various heavy machinery
• Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks
• Replace or repair faulty parts and components as necessary to maintain equipment functionality
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities performed
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations while carrying out maintenance tasks

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
• The ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus
• Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
