Controller

What you will be doing:

This position will assist the Sr. Accounting Management in meeting the corporate financial needs of SUMCO Phoenix Corporation and its subsidiaries.

• Lead and develop accounting team members
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report on variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit and mid-year review
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional controller duties as necessary

What you need:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• MBA or Advanced degree in accounting preferred
• CPA required
• Previous Controller experience required
• Consolidation experience for a multi-entity organization
• Experience in researching and documenting accounting issues to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Experience in the development of policies and procedures
• Management experience leading finance/accounting team
• Strong computer skills including SAP S/4 HANA and MS Office (Excel)
• Proven ability to work independently and to handle multiple tasks/projects in a changing environment
• Ability to identify deficiencies in the control environment and raise such issues to management

This position is an on-site position with an annual salary range from $160,000 to $180,000 depending on education and experience
