Road Striping Technician – Join Our Team and Make an Impact!

FC Traffic Control, Inc. is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled Road Striping Technician to become a key player in our growing, dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain striping equipment to apply pavement markings, including lines, symbols, and reflective markers.
  • Assist in setting up work zones with appropriate signage and safety measures.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Prepare surfaces for striping by cleaning and removing old markings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and road marking plans.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and traffic control standards at all times.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including paint machines, grinders, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Document work completed and report issues or delays to supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • The ability to travel out of town for extended periods as required by the supervisor.
  • Valid driver's license with at least 5 years of driving history and clean driving record
  • Knowledge of traffic control regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Physical stamina to work long hours in various weather conditions
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Must be able to lift, bend, squat and stand for increments of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Ability to operate and maintain striping equipment and related tools.
  • Familiarity with traffic safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail for precise application of road markings.
  • Experience in roadwork, construction, or striping (preferred but not mandatory—training provided).
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed for project completion
