About This Role

Lincoln Avenue Communities (LAC) is looking to hire Summer Analysts to join our Development team in Santa Monica.

This program will help you break ground on a career in affordable multifamily real estate—you will be immersed in our team of 35+ real estate professionals who manage the acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction of affordable properties throughout the United States.

Our ten-week paid Summer Internship Program is based out of our Santa Monica headquarters. We developed the program for students to gain practical training and hands-on experience to meet their educational goals and prepare for their professional careers in real estate. Throughout the last several years, we’ve carefully curated a meaningful and impactful internship program. Our goal is to provide you with a dynamic and engaging learning experience and the opportunity to develop while having dedicated support around you.

What You’ll Do

As a Summer Analyst, you will work closely with colleagues to support the evaluation and execution of property acquisitions, rehabilitation, refinancing, and ground-up new construction from conception through the stabilization of the project. Summer analysts are expected to assist in business plan execution by:

  • Collecting and analyzing due diligence
  • Evaluating market supply/demand factors and economic trends
  • Creating and assisting the team in maintaining financial models
  • Presenting concluded recommendations to LAC's investment committee
  • Collecting and updating project information on the internal project management database
  • Order various third-party reports and oversee delivery timeline, including management of due diligence delivery, site visit schedule, and consistent vendor communications
  • Attend deal team meetings to take notes and track key team deliverables
  • Various ad hoc projects

  • Strong technical understanding of real estate financial modeling
  • Ability to operate with minimal oversight with a mindset that takes full ownership of their role and responsibilities while collaborating with the rest of the team
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Values working hard and performing at the highest level
