Us

At the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, we advance liberty and opportunity for all people. As a leading free-market research and educational institute, we craft innovative policy solutions, challenge government overreach, and shape public opinion to drive meaningful change. Our dedicated team works collaboratively to connect with supporters who share our vision, ensuring they feel inspired, valued, and engaged in our mission.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with supporters through phone conversations to build relationships, share updates, and explore opportunities for increased support.
  • Drawing current supporters deeper into our mission and connecting them to advancement team members for ongoing stewardship.
  • Collaborating with the advancement team to align efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of interactions and outcomes using organizational systems, including the Raiser’s Edge database.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong intuition and an instinctive ability to identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Exceptional phone skills, with the ability to confidently navigate conversations and build rapport.
  • A collaborative mindset, with enthusiasm for working as part of a team and facilitating connections for others.
  • Cold-calling experience (highly desirable but not required).
  • A deep commitment to the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and personal responsibility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) preferred.
