Job Description

The Assistant Irrigation Technician at New Albany Country Club is responsible for maintaining and repairing the irrigation system on our 27-hole golf course. This individual will work under the supervision of the Irrigation Technician and will assist in all aspects of irrigation maintenance and repair. This is a full-time, hourly position located in New Albany, Ohio. The schedule would be 6 am to 3:30 pm (including holidays) with alternating weekend mornings. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this position is $16 to $17 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, the Assistant Irrigation Technician will have access to the following benefits:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of the irrigation system, including sprinklers, valves, and controllers.
  • Monitor and adjust water usage to ensure efficient and proper coverage.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the irrigation system and perform necessary repairs.
  • Assist in ensuring that all turf and landscape areas receive proper irrigation.
  • Operate and maintain irrigation equipment and tools.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns with the irrigation system to the Irrigation Technician.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working on the irrigation system.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Irrigation Technician or management
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Adaptable and a team player.
