Job Description

Job Summary

This position supports the Unemployment Account Management Team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks related to unemployment claims processing and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with unemployment claims administration, including:

    • Handling incoming and outgoing mail

    • Scanning and distributing claim documentation

    • Pre-entering new claims and claim determinations

    • Processing select claim types (such as LOW claims) on behalf of Account Managers

    • Entering and auditing employer charge statements

    • Performing data entry for request-for-information files

  • Provide customer service support through:

    • Making phone calls to clients to verify claim information

    • Supporting client retention efforts through professional communication

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality

  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with accuracy

  • Proficient with 10-key and general data entry

  • Strong customer service and phone communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask

  • Flexible and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and consensus with others
