POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Training Instructor, Technical & Business Operations to join our high-performance team and be a part of our journey to shape the future of the US data center community by delivering resilient and sustainable solutions that make a difference.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee training and development programs within the organization. This role will involve designing, implementing, and evaluating training initiatives to ensure that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for employee development, and a thorough understanding of training methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • TRAINING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT - Design and develop (or acquire) training programs, courses, and reference materials for Professional Development, Compliance, Safety, and ESI products and systems for ESI and / or customer personnel. Curriculum shall be suitable for instructor-led, web-based, and virtual modalities (materials to be deployed in a manner to support a “paperless” environment).
  • TRAINING PROGRAM QUALITY - Ensure that training products / program meet or exceed IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training) guidelines.
  • TRAINING EXECUTION - Conduct training across multiple modalities, using professional instructional techniques, active questioning, verify results using Kirkpatrick’s level 1 – 4 evaluations.
  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT - Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Supervise Training Department team (e.g., Curriculum Developer, Graphic Artist, LMS System Administrator, and Technical Writing personnel) in all aspects of their responsibility sets.

KEY TEAM JOB TASKS

  • Provide input for training budget and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budget.
  • Ensure full functionality and maintenance of Training Center (facility, equipment, systems and furniture), coordinate logistics for training events
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to identify and map out respective training in support of career development opportunities; respond to emergent training requirements.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Servant Leadership approach in building and developing a high-performance team.
  • 8 to 15 years’ experience in managing a training program, significant experience with ADDIE (Instructional Design methodology) or other ISD (Instructional Systems Design), personnel leadership, process management and Kirkpatrick’s Level 1 – 4 Evaluation Methodology
  • Experience conducting technical training and professional development programs; experience with electro-mechanical equipment / systems, controls, electrical systems, wiring diagrams / P&IDs, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in use of LMS / Knowledge Management System, LMS implementation experience desired

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree, completion of Military School, or equivalent experience as identified above.
  • Demonstrated ability in reading wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and hands-on expertise with electrical, mechanical, and piping systems.
  • Understanding of a commercial entity’s corporate structure and mission.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Curriculum Development, Graphic Artist, LMS System Administrator, and Technical Writing personnel).
  • Experience / working knowledge of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reductor) desired.
