Supplier Development Manager - Bilingual Mandarin

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Development Manager to lead the development and management of our Asian supplier panel. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and business acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and experience in managing suppliers in a cross-cultural and multi-national business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supplier development strategies to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance
• Manage and develop relationships with Asian suppliers, including contract and commercial aspects
• Identify and recommend value-add opportunities, including cost savings, process improvements, and product innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, manufacturing development, and quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor and report on supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost
• Develop and implement corrective actions to address supplier performance issues

Requirements:

• Bilingual in Mandarin and English
• Qualifications in Engineering or Manufacturing Management
• 5+ years of experience in supplier development, quality management, or manufacturing management
• Strong technical and business acumen
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Asia

Nice to Have:

• Experience in managing suppliers in a cross-cultural and multi-national business environment
• Knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary is DOE 120k-145k
