Job Description: Property Manager | Housing Manager | Student Housing Manager

Are you driven to enhance the college student living experience? Rentdotlive LLC, a premier student housing property management company with 16 years of expertise in multifamily residential and student housing markets, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Student Housing Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of students at one of our partner private college institutions by creating a positive housing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • A self-motivated and self-managed individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to adapt to property management software (training provided) are necessary. Apple computer proficiency is a plus.
  • Desire to work in a college student environment. 
  • Sales Experience and/or Hospitality Experience: 3 years preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and personal transportation.
  • Willingness to work weekends, particularly for move-ins during orientation. This occurs once every five weeks.
  • A smartphone and laptop are required.
  • You must have experience with AppFolio property management software. If you do not have experience with this software, we will provide training to a candidate with exceptional qualifications.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience is required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Activities Performed Daily

  • Check emails and perform tasks related to the nature of the email.
  • Call students and cosigners to gather information and process rental applications.
  • Manage all new and existing users using AppFolio property management software, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Send lease agreements to future tenants and execute leases on the company's behalf. 
  • Oversee the financial performance of units by managing rents and occupancies.
  • Manage resident relations by promptly addressing phone calls, requests, and concerns.
  • Work as a team to collaborate, plan and schedule work activities, and execute all tasks related to this role in a timely manner. 

Activities Performed Monthly

  • Foster resident retention, handle transfers, and facilitate lease renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with Rentdotlive Company policies and federal/local regulations.
  • Supervise the completion of maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • You will interface with school administrators and students during office hours and on college campuses.
  • You will organize group move-ins every five weeks and facilitate leasing units from our partner properties for the company using our corporate lease structure.
  • You will facilitate leasing rental furniture from our furniture partner and ensure delivery is scheduled and set up properly before move-in day. 
  • You will supervise Cleaning and Inspection Staff to maintain high-quality living standards.

This salaried position requires a 40-hour work week scheduled in an office with occasional travel to colleges and properties based on student housing program needs.
