Title: SQL DBA

Location: Tallahassee, Florida, 32399

Job Type: Long term contract

Responsibilities:

The Consultant must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience and demonstrate

the following capabilities:

• Enterprise-level expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2017, 2019, 2022), including performance tuning, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native database services, such as Azure SQL and Amazon RDS, in enterprise environments.
• Comprehensive experience in SQL Server system design, implementation, and administration across complex infrastructures, including virtualized, multitenant, shared, or cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Must demonstrate strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in database design and development for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise architecture.
• Strong analytical skills to assess requirements, evaluate technical options, and determine feasibility.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with both customers and internal teams.
• Proven track record of meeting project priorities and goals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within small teams.
• High attention to detail and consistency in deliverables and documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Effective communication with technical teams and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity Understanding of project and process management principles and their application in technical environments.

Required Skills:

The ideal Consultant will have a minimum of 10 years of experience and demonstrate the following advanced competencies:

• Senior-level expertise in all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server administration, including performance tuning, optimization, and maintenance in enterprise environments
• Extensive experience designing and managing SQL Server systems in complex, cloudbased, virtualized, or multitenant environments Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Proficiency with DevOps tools and scripting languages for database administration and reporting.
• Experience in defining enterprise-level database architecture and system design. 17. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experience leading projects or serving as a subject matter expert in database technologies across multiple initiatives.
• Proven ability to handle complex technical challenges requiring deep knowledge across various technical domains and business areas.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor junior database administrators.
