Software Engineer Austin, TX
Our client is an exciting Semiconductor company based in Austin, Texas and they are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to take the next step in their career and take part in joining an organization who are global leaders in the design of SST and Flash memory test equipment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a professional background in embedded software engineering who is looking for ongoing career progression and to get involved in projects in all aspects of the design process. The company is going from strength to strength; this is an Exciting and rare opportunity to join the company at such an exciting time in their development.
Previous experience in the tech sector is not essential but candidates will need experience working with C++ and GUI/UX.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement software solutions using sound engineering principles.
Deliver high-quality work on time.
Develop technical specifications.
Review and enhance existing code.
Continuously learn and expand responsibilities.
Maintain quality standards.
Assess tradeoffs in processes and architecture to meet customer needs.
Collaborate with hardware design teams for performance and scalability.
Interact directly with clients.
Background and Experience:
~ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with relevant experience.
~2+ years in GUI/UX and machine control software development.
~ Proficiency in C, C++, C#, .NET, and Python.
~ Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Visual Studio, gcc, make, binutils, gdb, ssh, and git.
~ Linux experience is a plus.
~ Strong English communication skills.
~ Experience in high-volume manufacturing test equipment.
~ U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.
