Job Description
Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex, high-impact projects, collaborating with in-house departments, regulators, and government agencies to ensure successful execution and compliance. Requires proven experience managing large-scale projects with cross-functional coordination and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end project management (planning, execution, monitoring, closure) aligning with organizational goals
Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, operations, legal, finance) to define scope and resources
Serve as primary contact for regulators and government agencies to secure approvals
Develop project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and schedules
Facilitate communication between teams and external partners
Monitor progress and implement corrective actions
Ensure adherence to safety, industry, and environmental standards
Provide status updates to leadership
Mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
~8-10 years of project management experience with large-scale projects
~ Utility/energy/infrastructure sector experience preferred
~ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or PMP a plus)
~ PMP certification preferred
~ Agile/Scrum experience desirable
~ Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA)
~ Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
~ Ability to manage multiple priorities
~ Knowledge of utility regulations an advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electric utility projects (grid modernization, transmission, distribution)
Managed budgets over $5M+ and teams of 10+
The expected salary range for this position is between $67,500 to $1,30,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
