Sr. Project Architect/Architect Level III – Design and Thrive in Historic Charleston, SC

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical execution and coordination through all project phases.
• Contribute to both project delivery and team development.
• Balance creative problem-solving with practical leadership.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of professional architectural experience.
• Registered Architect (RA) required.
• Proficiency in REVIT; working knowledge of SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Suite.
• Expertise in construction documentation, detailing, and coordination.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, and technical standards.
• Experience in public, education, or healthcare architecture preferred.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to Charleston, SC.

Daily Responsibilities

• Lead production and coordination of design and construction documents.
• Manage collaboration with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Conduct code research, quality control, and document reviews.
• Guide project planning, design implementation, and documentation strategies.
• Represent our client during meetings, presentations, and site visits.
• Oversee construction administration (RFIs, submittals, punch lists).
• Mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to firm standards.
