Senior Manager, Events

Location: Boston (remote with occasional on site needs)

Duration: 6 months

Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Events will oversee the planning and execution of high-profile events (approx. 24 events this year) within the pharmaceutical sector. This role is essential in ensuring that all events align with the company's strategic objectives and enhance its reputation within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, organization, and execution of events and conferences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all event goals are met.
• Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate event outcomes and make recommendations for future improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote events effectively.
• Identify external medical conferences in 2026 with an assessment of strategic importance so the internal team can make informed decisions to prioritize sponsorship investment and attendance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in the medical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in pharma.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and conferences.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with medical conferences is a plus.
