Job Description

Our client a well-established law firm is seeking a Revenue/Pricing Analyst to join their team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate across departments, including pricing, legal project management, billing, and e-billing, as well as directly with attorneys and clients. The role will report to the Pricing Manager and play a key part in pricing operations and financial strategy. (Must be coming out of a law firm or the professional services space to be considered for this role)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client, matter, and portfolio performance data, preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in financial modeling and forecasting, including data mining, cleansing, and reconciliation.
  • Design economic models to support pricing strategies and evaluate staffing impacts.
  • Develop templates, guidelines, and frameworks for pricing various types of legal matters.
  • Support responses to client RFPs.
  • Contribute to the creation of dashboards and performance reporting with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as billing, collections, and profitability.
  • Prepare presentations and insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Project Management team on strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing and finance databases in accordance with client agreements and billing guidelines.
  • Proactively manage agreements nearing expiration and those with milestone or volume-based pricing terms.
  • Partner with billing/e-billing teams to resolve pricing-related billing issues.
  • Assist with e-billing rate submissions and rate administration.
  • Review new matters for compliance with pricing terms.
  • Take on ad hoc projects and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of complex rate structures and legal billing arrangements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Aderant or similar financial/legal systems.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with attorneys and administrative teams.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, peak workloads, and tight deadlines independently.
  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms and systems is a plus.
