Regional Vice President of Operations reports to: Advanced Home Health and Hospice President
Scope of Responsibilities/Duties: The Regional Vice President of Operations will oversee home health and hospice agencies to ensure that patients receive high quality care and that financial goals are being achieved. The role will require travel in assigned region on a routine and frequent basis to maintain professional relationships and provide support to agency leadership and other key staff.
- Work closely with and maintain open communication with Advanced Home Health and Hospice senior operations leadership and the LHMSH executive team
- Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with Advanced Home Health and Hospice and LHMSH goals
- Provides agency support and direction for successful operations, including but not limited to census/marketing, A/R and bad debt management, labor control, expense management, safety management, and regulatory management
- Maintains current knowledge of the laws, regulations, and CMS standards governing accreditation and licensing
- Assists the Administrator in overseeing federal and state surveys and ensuring that regulatory standards are met
- Monitors agencies for consistent implementation of policies
- Ensures that patient and family concerns are understood and that appropriate actions are taken toward resolution
- Responsible for Administrator orientation, as well as on-going training and support
- Provides input into the development and implementation of the annual budget and staffing strategies
- Assists Administrator in efforts to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
- In collaboration with agency Administrator provide orientation/training of staff to ensure sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out agency programs and services
- When needed, initiates corrective action for agencies/personnel falling below established Advanced Home Health and Hospice standards
- Identifies and evaluates opportunities for agency growth/development consistent with strategic goals
- Identifies market specific labor trends that may impact the agency
- Drives results by performing monthly operations reviews and monitors agency performance to budget
- Monitors other key performance indicators and intervenes as appropriate
- Courageous in addressing difficult issues while providing support and direct/actionable feedback
- Participates as an ad hoc member of the governing body for agencies in the assigned region
- Communicates with members of the executive team about issues arising in the agencies and takes action to minimize negative impacts
- Protects the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the company

Job Qualifications:
- Significant and relevant experience in home health and hospice operations and leadership
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Utah (office onsite in Sandy)
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%
Physical Requirements:
- Travel and work in home health and hospice agencies
- Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, lift, and move about
- To perform other duties as required
