This role is for a Radiation Therapist responsible for providing radiation therapy treatments to patients at two clinical sites. The therapist will work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses, and will float between the two locations. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience and proficiency in various radiation therapy techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Administering radiation therapy treatments using various techniques (IMRT, external beam therapy, etc.).
- Utilizing radiation therapy equipment (Varian 21 ex/ix, etc.).
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses in treatment planning and execution.
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring patient response to treatment.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Floating between two clinical sites within the Wilmington, NC Coastal Region.
- Participating in storm/hurricane team response as needed.
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Assisting with patient transfers and positioning.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Proficiency in Adult Acute Care and various radiation therapy techniques (CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Custom Shield, MRI, PET Scan, Tumor Localization, Beam Modifying/Positioning, Block cutting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Wedges).
- Experience with treatment planning systems (Pinnacle, Eclipse).
- Competency in radiation safety procedures.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam.
- Experience with Siemens CT simulator.
- Traveler experience.
Special Considerations:
- Floating between two clinical sites is required.
- On-call requirements are none.
- Weekend requirements are none.
- The clinic will accept first-time travelers.
- RTO is allowed up to 7 days.
- No orientation or dimensions training is required.
- Holiday schedule: Work Sunday before Thanksgiving and Christmas, closed Friday after.
- Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event.
- Consolidation to a centralized office mid-contract may occur.
Scheduling:
- Primarily 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm shifts, based on department needs.
- Possibility of 4x10 hour shifts.
- Manager schedules shifts.
