Job Overview:

Our client, a growing automotive machining facility , is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and manage their quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in IATF 16949 standards , FMEA development , PPAP submission , and overall quality management systems within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
• Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs) , Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) , Control Plans , and Process Flow Diagrams to ensure robust quality planning.
• Manage internal and external audits, including IATF 16949 audits, customer audits , and supplier audits .
• Develop and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure process capability , root cause analysis , and problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, etc.) .
• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) efforts for new product launches.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, such as scrap rates, first-pass yield, and customer complaints .
• Provide leadership and training to the quality team and other departments on quality standards, procedures, and best practices .
• Interface with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related concerns, ensuring effective resolution.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of quality management experience in an automotive machining or manufacturing environment .
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 , PPAPs , FMEA , SPC , and APQP .
• Proficiency in problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements .
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
