JOB TITLE: Project Controller (Bilingual)

DEPARTMENT: Project Control Team / IWT

REPORTS TO: Field Control Manager, Project Manager (P/CM), Project Director (PD)

LOCATION: Taylor, TX

JOB OBJECTIVES

  • This position supports project management working with various parts such as engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction while assisting the Project Control Team
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders including consultants, law firms, equipment vendors and construction contractors and government officers.
  • Providing support for IWT site constructions, inspections, commissioning personnel, interpretation and coordination with the client.
  • Translating information in Korean and English, verbally or in writing during meetings, and proofreading documents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend project meetings to provide translation/interpretation support, follow up on business related matters, manage change orders and handle contract modifications
  • Record meeting minutes (MOM), agendas, daily activity logs and other documents as needed
  • Conduct research related to the projects, such as monitoring news and gathering information on contractors and other relevant data
  • Coordinate meetings and send emails to external companies or other relevant parties (handling official documents, managing business communications and other related tasks)
  • Document Control (document organization, translation, report writing, Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports, upload documents and manage data using internal systems
  • Manage project documents such as official letters, drawings and vendor prints
  • Support project construction cost estimation and procurement
  • Provide interpretation support on site
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Company

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the US legally without visa sponsorship
  • Korean/English bilingual is a must (Native proficiency including writing and reading)
  • BA/BS degree of related field
  • At least 3 Years of experience required in any office/site environment (engineering degree preferred but not mandatory, experience working in a Korean company or working as an interpreter in the construction industry preferred)
  • Strong ability to multitask and complete deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Demonstration of strong compliance to procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding environment with a mixed culture
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-ups
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive grasp and/or high interest in the plant industry terminology, idiomatic expressions, and contextual usage for effective interpretation/communication
  • Having strong ownership and having a proactive attitude with a risk-managing mindset
  • Analytical thinking and demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Familiar with programs such as Trimble or any document management system

Desirable/Preferred Skills

  • At least 3 years of related experience (construction project scheduling/control/forecasting)
  • Experience in high-tech (Semiconductor) product projects
  • Experience in industrial and factory projects
  • Experience in domestic EPC project experience
  • International and multi-cultural experience a plus

  • A person who can work on weekends if required
