Job Description

We are seeking a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with expertise in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) and T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data management, source control, unit testing, documentation, testing, production support, change management, software development, and data integrity.

Job Title: PowerBuilder Developer

Location: Hybrid - Lansing, MI (Onsite 2 days a week, including Wednesdays)

In-person interviews required (Candidates must be available for in-person interviews).

Top Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with T-SQL Query Writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server.
• 5+ years of PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) experience.
• 10+ years of experience documenting and performing unit testing .
• 5+ years of experience with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps or GIT .

Responsibilities:

• Research and modify PowerBuilder source code to document data processing steps.
• Write complex SQL queries to pull data from Sybase and MS SQL Server.
• Develop processes to extract, manipulate, and cleanse application data.
• Perform data profiling, mapping, validation, and analysis .
• Work with source control systems like TFS, Azure DevOps, or GIT .
• Document and perform unit testing for program changes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and flow diagrams .
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and clients to support test scenarios .
• Provide production support, root cause analysis, and change management .

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid role: Candidates must be onsite 2 days a week (Wednesdays are mandatory; the second day is flexible).
• Local candidates preferred ; non-local candidates must relocate at their own expense .
• No remote-only option available .
