What You'll Do:

  • Review and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers to oncology, hematology, and radiation services
  • Ensure documentation supports assigned codes
  • Maintain compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and payer-specific guidelines
  • Collaborate with billing teams to resolve coding-related claim issues
  • Support audit responses and coding justification
  • Stay current on coding updates and oncology advancements
  • Educate clinical staff as needed on coding best practices
  • Use EMR systems and coding software effectively

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of medical coding experience (oncology/hematology/radiation preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CPC certification preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, J-codes, and medical terminology
  • Experience with payer policies, radiation treatment plans, and EMRs (e.g., ARIA)
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable
