Job Title: Medical Assistant (Floater)

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11215

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Assignment Length: 9 weeks

Pay Rate: $24 – $26 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Medical Assistant (Floater) to provide clinical and administrative support across multiple medical practices throughout Brooklyn. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and able to seamlessly integrate into different clinical environments. Flexibility in schedule and location within Brooklyn is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
• Prepare patients for examination, take and record vital signs, and update patient records.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and specimen collection.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and ensure proper handling of specimens.
• Maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized.
• Manage front office duties as needed, including patient check-in/check-out and appointment scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Float between multiple practice sites based on scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) required; Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (strongly preferred)
• Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and time management skills
• Other: Must be flexible and comfortable traveling between different practice locations within Brooklyn
