Job Description

Longwell Partners is a full-service, pro-democracy communications firm based in Washington, DC. We specialize in high-profile political advocacy campaigns—including the Republican Accountability Project, Republican Voters Against Trump, and The Bulwark—and we’re looking for an energetic Media Researcher to support our creative and political communications teams.

If you’re passionate about politics, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to help shape impactful messaging and strategy, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As our Media Researcher, you'll play a critical role in sourcing and curating compelling media content—primarily video—that exposes hypocrisy, highlights extreme views within political discourse, and aligns with our advocacy goals. Your ability to thoroughly and meticulously research and uncover compelling content will directly support our rapid-response capabilities and influence public debate.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify timely and newsworthy video content for advocacy campaigns.
  • Monitor political news, social media, and events for rapid response opportunities.
  • Prepare and distribute media clips across social media platforms.
  • Ensure accurate sourcing and attribution.
  • Collaborate with our creative and communications teams to align content with project goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience sourcing or creating original content for social media, with strong familiarity in handling video.
  • Strong understanding of today’s political landscape, including ways the Republican Party has moved away from traditional conservative values during the Trump era.
  • Ability to track multiple news streams, content sources, and rapid-response opportunities simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • You’re able to be in the office (downtown DC) five days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in political research, journalism, or media monitoring roles

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • 100% covered medical insurance
  • Metro-accessible, downtown dc location
  • Collaborative, supportive team: work alongside smart, dedicated colleagues who value your contributions.
  • Opportunity for impact: engage directly in political advocacy and influence national discourse.
  • Professional growth: opportunities to learn, innovate, and advance within our firm.

How to Apply:

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter to jobs@longwellpartners.com . In your cover letter, please tell us why you’re interested in Longwell Partners and how your experience aligns with this role. Easy Apply is not your friend here! We will consider email applications much more seriously than resumes alone.

We look forward to hearing from you!
