Messner Reeves LLP, a national law firm, seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Denver, Colorado .

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience.

Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating intake telephone calls, maintaining communication with existing clients, and handling routine client matters as requested.
• Managing appointments, meetings, and conferences for attorneys and clients, including conference room scheduling, preparation of meeting materials and assisting with attorney calendar management.
• Performing a variety of administrative functions, such as processing new client/matter reports, preparing engagement letters, preparing notebooks and exhibits, and electronic filing of client documents.
• Assist with client engagement and retention, including preparation of engagement letter, conflict check, conflict waivers, and submitting information to open matters.
• Well versed in both federal and state court procedure and filing requirements, including e-filing in federal court.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to be resourceful in addressing issues and requests with limited direction, and can proactively and proficiently carry out recurring work.
• Ability to support multiple attorneys and complete work assignments.
• Able to work in the office.
