Legal Assistant
Legal Assistant- Houston A national based law firm located in Houston is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team. Candidates must have 5-7 years of litigation experience and be well-versed in filing in state (Texas) and federal courts. This position offers a hybrid schedule and full benefits. Duties include:Provide excellent, professional service to internal and external clients.
Draft, format, and proofread routine correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents, including pleadings, notebooks, indexes, and exhibits.
File court documents both electronically and in hard copy, ensuring compliance with court rules and judge-specific requirements.
Anticipate attorney needs by proactively preparing shell pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence.
Maintain accuracy in all work product, including proofreading documents prior to filing or distribution.
Prepare and submit client intake forms with attention to detail.
Create, organize, and maintain electronic and physical case files.
Monitor progress on matters to ensure timely completion of court-ordered actions.
