The IT Security Administrator is responsible for helping HEICO develop and improve security standards, as well as, carry out our strategic security plan to our many subsidiaries. This person will also be helping safeguard our organization from an ever-growing cyber threat. This position recommends security enhancements, and helps educate our growing workforce on information security by building awareness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements enhancements to security policies, standards, best practices and system configuration standards.
  • Consults with internal management and employees on security topics and policy interpretation.
  • Assesses Potential risks with new vendors, products and services.
  • Provides security requirements and recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Monitors, triages and responds to security alerts.
  • Investigates and resolves impairment scenarios using assigned IT security tools.
  • Generates incident cases and escalates to teams in accordance with time and severity-based service level agreements.
  • Security Awareness Training program administrator.
  • Processes system upgrades and improvements, based on industry best practices enterprise systems, networks, infrastructure security policies, procedures and standards.
  • Administers and maintains many of our IT Security Solutions and tools.
  • Prepares and delivers security presentations.
  • Some travel may be required. (Current passport required.)

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with security required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years within this type of environment is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Network+ and Security+ preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), and/or Certified Network Administrator (CNA) are preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

  • General knowledge and understanding of network design, encryption, mobile security, network security technologies, and vulnerability management
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and remediate security risks.
  • Experience with malware prevention, antivirus detection, and reaction principles
  • General knowledge of application security principles
  • Some understanding of governance, compliance and audit regulations related to aerospace and manufacturing industries. (SOX, DFARS, ITARS, PCI, FEDRAMP, GDPR, CPPA)
  • Some understanding of Information Technology and Information Security.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
