Job Summary The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in the CAHIIM-accredited MS in Healthcare Informatics Program. We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join our team and contribute to the education of future healthcare informatics professionals.
Responsibilities - Teach on-campus/hybrid classes in the MS in Healthcare Informatics Program at the Garden City campus. There are four in-person sessions, each lasting six hours, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. All additional coursework and instructional sessions are conducted online.
- Develop and deliver course content that aligns with program objectives and prepares students for careers in healthcare informatics.
- Foster a dynamic, engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Provide mentorship and support to students to facilitate their academic and professional growth.
Required Qualifications - A minimum of a master's degree in a relevant field, such as Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
- More than five years of relevant professional experience in the field of healthcare informatics.
- Experience in healthcare settings, health information systems, electronic health records (EHRs), data analytics, or healthcare IT implementation can be particularly valuable.
- Prior experience teaching at the university level, preferably in healthcare informatics or a related field.

Salary Information In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,798 per credit.
