The Job You Will Perform:

Program Overview

International Paper’s full-time Global Supply Chain professionals can perform one of seven (7) full-time roles:

 

• Transportation Planner
• Supply Planner
• Process Specialist
• Replenishment Planner
• Account Executive
• Global Sourcing Associate
• Fiber Supply Associate

 

Main Responsibilities

• Acquire basic understanding of IP’s end to end supply chain processes
• Utilize SAP technology and processes in a centralized environment
• Assist in root cause analysis and provide resolution for issues that have significant business impact
• Communicate with cross functional teams on daily activities, issues, and concerns that affect the supply chain process
• Support a culture of continuous improvement by assisting and potentially leading deliberate improvement efforts utilizing Manufacturing Excellence (ME) tools
• Analyze market and industry conditions to execute buying strategies
• Purchase parts, supplies, equipment or fiber following established purchasing policies and procedures while optimizing price, delivery and terms
• Negotiate contracts for implementation and logistics coordination
• Oversee relationships with vendors

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Forestry, or Engineering related fields)
• Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; customer focus required
• Above average computer skills
• Action oriented, can learn quickly and works well in a team environment
• Above average analytic skills, with the ability to data mine multiple fields, analyze information, understand trends and make decisions accordingly
• Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Self-starter as demonstrated by prior summer or intern work experience and/or involvement in campus activities, clubs, student government, etc.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (eg. H-1B, E-1, J-1, F-1 or l-1)
