Job Title: Founding Robotics Software Engineer – Robotics/AI

Job Overview: We are looking for a talented Robotics Software Engineer to join our innovative startup as a founding engineer. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to develop state-of-the-art robotic technologies and AI-driven solutions, specifically focusing on advanced dextrous robotic hands. You will work closely with experienced leaders from Tesla, Waymo, and Apple, playing a crucial role in shaping and leading our revolutionary robotic systems and company direction.

Responsibilities:

• Robotic Software Development: Develop sophisticated robotic software, focusing on ROS2 integration, simulation environments, computer vision algorithms, and robotic controls.
• Robotic AI Development: Design and execute AI-driven solutions, incorporating machine learning algorithms and embodied AI foundation models to significantly enhance robotic functionalities.
• Algorithm Implementation: Develop, test, and optimize robust algorithms and control systems for advanced dextrous robotic hands.
• Hardware Integration & Optimization: Collaborate closely with hardware and mechanical teams for seamless integration and optimal software performance.
• Innovation & Continuous Learning: Actively participate in groundbreaking robotics projects, continuously pushing technological boundaries and learning from top industry experts.

Basic Requirements:

• Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Demonstrated experience with robotics software development, particularly ROS2, computer vision, robotic controls, simulation environments, or AI applications.
• Ability to work onsite in the Bay Area for collaborative work and interviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven success in robotics or AI projects, evidenced by significant industry experience or personal projects.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware integration.
• Availability to onboard ideally by early April.
