Doyon Government Group (DGG) provides design-build and general construction services for demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations.
We're seeking a Federal Construction Superintendent / QCM / SSHO (3-Hat Role) for various United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Newport, Rhode Island or Boston, Massachusetts.
The Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects.
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) has overall responsibility for reporting directly to the Project Manager and Corporate Management for the verification that we meet all quality standards on our projects. The Quality Control Manager (project level) plans, coordinates, and oversees implementation of Construction quality control and quality assurance programs at the project level. This position also creates reviews and amends Project Quality Plans to keep them current and to ensure compliance in all respects with the contract, established standards, methods, and specifications.
The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for the development and/or review of the Accident Prevention Plan, activity hazard analysis’s, amendments to the accident prevention plan, on site safety education, toolbox safety meetings, all around safety compliance of the project, and a proactive innovative attitude towards solving difficult site-specific safety issues. The SSHO is responsible for managing, implementing, and enforcing the project Accident Prevention Plan. The SSHO shall provide full-time on-site safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, training, and safety enforcement
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
• 10 years of experience in construction
• 5 years of USACE or NAVFAC experience preferred
• Specific past performance and references as an approved QCM, SSHO and/or Superintendent on one or more Federal construction projects
• Contractor Quality Management for Contractors Certification or ability to obtain the certification
• Must be familiar with the requirement of EM 385-1-1
• USACE and/or NAVFAC project experience
• Proficiency in RMS software applications
Preferred
• Hospital, ASHE, HVAC experience
