Why Join Us?

Our client is a national leader in modular engineering, design, and construction — delivering complete solutions in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building services. With a reputation built on innovation, quality, and safety excellence, they empower employees to drive meaningful change in high-tech environments like manufacturing plants, data centers, and advanced fabrication facilities.

Role Overview

The EHS Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our client’s safety management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. This position actively drives a culture of safety across the organization — ensuring every process, project, and person operates to the highest standard of environmental, health, and safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and reduce hazards across manufacturing and fabrication operations.
  • Lead the development and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to integrate safety systems into daily production, maintenance, and equipment installation activities.
  • Oversee corrective action planning and follow-up from audits or incident investigations.
  • Manage safety management software platforms for documentation, records, and compliance tracking.
  • Promote a proactive, people-first safety culture through communication, engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for technical safety guidance in manufacturing, fabrication, and industrial construction.

Who You Are

A detail-oriented and influential safety professional with deep technical knowledge of manufacturing environments and a passion for continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments and are known for fostering a culture of accountability and engagement. You’re not just enforcing compliance — you’re inspiring safe behaviors that drive performance and pride across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in safety management within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial construction.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001 principles and compliance frameworks.
  • CSP, ASP, or CHST certification preferred; ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems/software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Work Environment

  • Office and manufacturing plant settings with regular exposure to active production areas.
  • Frequent site inspections requiring PPE and physical mobility (walking, standing, climbing).
  • Occasional travel (25–40%) to multiple plants or project sites.
