Candidate must have a PE and a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Initially this role will be Remote with some travel in the Denver area. This person will be developing a team and building an office team.

ENGINEERING MANAGER (PE)

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee design and production of construction plans and permit submittals for multiple divisions under the company umbrella.
• Serve as Engineer of Record, ensuring compliance with company, jurisdictional, and industry standards.
• Lead and mentor engineering staff, including hiring and training.
• Manage project schedules, team workloads, and QA/QC processes.
• Provide construction administration support (e.g., pre-construction meetings, shop drawing reviews, inspections).
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and municipalities.
• Conduct due diligence reviews and support key feasibility tasks.
• Attend public meetings for rezoning and final engineering as needed.
• Drive design and permitting processes, address regulatory comments, and develop resolutions.
• Track and report project progress to the Director of Engineering Services.

• Expertise in civil-site design, including grading, utilities, stormwater, and roadway design.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: 6+ years in civil engineering, with previous experience leading and developing teams.
• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow/ICPR, WaterCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Smartsheets.
• Licensure: PE license in Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, or other southeastern states (minimum one, with the ability to obtain more).

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of site grading, storm drainage, erosion control, and stormwater design principles
