Who You Are
You are an electronics manufacturing professional proficient in electronics manufacturing techniques, component/systems assembly, quality control processes, and industry standards. You are capable of operating PCBA manufacturing equipment, including Surface Mount, Through-Hole, and auxiliary/test equipment in support of rapid prototyping and low volume production. You are exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and open to learning new skills.
What You Will Do
• Pick & Place Programming, Operation, Calibration, and Maintenance.
• Fine-pitch rework/assembly soldering under a microscope
• Reflow Oven Profiling, Operation, and Maintenance
• Screen Print Setup/Profiling & Operation and Maintenance
• Assembly, inspecting, testing PCBAs/systems, and troubleshooting failed PCBAs/systems utilizing various test equipment.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure that electronic products are manufacturable and meet design specifications
• Assembly wire harnesses according to cable assembly drawings and conduct inspections and testing at various stages of the manufacturing process
• Maintain accurate documentation per manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
Qualifications
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on electronics manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with, and ability to adhere to, IPC 610 and 620 classes 1, 2 and 3
• Experience using schematics or blueprints, wiring lists, manufacturing notes, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, troubleshoot, rework, or reassemble units.
• ISO-9001 experience (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of ESD practices
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as necessary to perform inspections with and without the use of a microscope.
• Skill in the use of a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, etc.)
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.
Requirements:
• Professionalism representing AED when interacting with staff, vendors, clients, and the public
• Organizational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently
• Stand or sit for long periods of time while programming manufacturing equipment, or training technicians to perform these tasks
• Use of a microscope while performing quality inspections of solder and component placement on PCBAs
• Regularly walk, stoop crouch, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pass a comprehensive background check
• Candidates must be able to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control and ITAR compliance laws, which require proof that the candidate is a U.S. person.
