Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Driver / Warehouse person to join our Elgin team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products, goods & parcels safely & efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes. They will also be required to assist with warehouse operations as required
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a wide variety of items to different locations across the North of Scotland.
Follow route and time schedule.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle.
Complete logs and reports.
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
Ensure any company vehicle allocated is fit for purpose.
Deal with customers’ queries and ensure these are passed to the relevant person for completion.
Pick and pack customer and warehouse orders.
Assist loading company vehicles with orders.
Receive and verify all deliveries.
Stock labeling of incoming goods.
Assist in storing, controlling & security of all stock.
Warehouse housekeeping.
Replenish warehouse stock.
Assist with customer returns.
May be required to carry out additional tasks which are appropriate to the post.
Required Skills And Experience
Full UK driving license – preferably clean, but no more than 6 points.
License to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles with CPC (desirable but not essential).
Numeracy and literacy skills to enable completion of paperwork.
Flexibility to work additional hours when required by the company.
Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change.
Ability to work within and contribute to a team.
The ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good attention to detail.
Good communication skills
