Ricardo Beverly Hills is searching for a dynamic, creative designer for the Design Manager position. This position will play a pivotal role in designing and developing world-class products that fit the consumer lifestyle for each of our brands. We want someone who will come in with a solid reputation for building great products in a consumer-driven organization. The position calls for a leader who is both an empowering manager and a hands-on player/coach for the design team.

The Challenge

The Design Manager will have the opportunity to design products for this vision . You will strive to elevate our brands through a design language that is commercially accessible to a wide range of consumers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in industrial and/or fashion design
· 5-10 years established experience with a demonstrated background in Product Design and Development
· Proven experience in leading and managing a team of creatives
· Experience working directly with Asian factories
· Soft and hard goods design experience
· Creative design leadership experience is essential
· Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, OneNote, Word), Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop)
· Knowledge of 3D modeling, surfacing, and rapid prototyping is preferable
· Advanced English language skills
· Keen sense of market and societal trends and their impact on design direction within the industry
· Ability to communicate ideas quickly and effectively through visualization and mockups
Responsibilities
· Promote and represent a culture of creativity throughout the organization
· Work collaboratively with upper management across departments to ensure synergistic processes
· Advocate for aspects of product design that relate to end-user needs, interests, and characteristics
· Champion the company's efforts towards design for consumers, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing capabilities
· International travel up to 20% of time, as well as domestic sales and trend trips
· Manage and own deliverable timelines and seasonal development calendars
