General Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers and drive technical excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee engineering operations, define technical strategy, manage project timelines, and ensure efficient execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while fostering innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact engineering projects that enhance company performance, such as securing California DSA approval or standardizing engineering detailing for production.
• Serve as a key member of the senior management team, collaborating with the President and department heads to shape the company’s growth.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, ensuring both technical and professional development.
• Oversee project planning, prioritization, and execution to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Provide technical direction and make critical design decisions to guide teams through complex challenges.
• Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and align goals.
• Manage resource allocation, balancing workloads, and prioritizing projects based on business needs.
• Continuously improve departmental processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments, providing regular updates on project progress and technical challenges.
• Oversee the engineering department’s budget, including resource allocation and technology investments.
• Develop and track key performance metrics that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Manage design changes within standard product lines and maintain related drawing revisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in engineering practices.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with product and design teams.
• Proficiency in 2D & 3D design software such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
